Dong Thap Leaders Pay Tribute at Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery
(DTO) On the morning of July 27, top officials from the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee laid wreaths and offered incense at the Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery in Trung An Ward to mark the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2026).

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Phan Van Thang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the 16th National Assembly delegation of Dong Thap Province; Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department; leaders of provincial departments, agencies, mass organizations, the provincial armed forces, the Provincial Veterans Association, and local representatives from My Tho Ward, Trung An Ward, and Chau Thanh Commune, among others.
In a solemn atmosphere, delegates laid wreaths and offered incense at the monument before observing a minute of silence to pay their respects to the nation's predecessors, heroic martyrs, and patriotic compatriots who laid down their lives for national defense, liberation, reunification, and noble international missions.


Following the tribute ceremony at the monument, delegates visited individual graves to honor the heroic martyrs laid to rest at the cemetery.

The event reflected the profound gratitude of the Party organization, authorities, people, and armed forces of Dong Thap Province to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation's independence and freedom.
