Dong Thap Marks the 95th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union
(DTO) On the morning of March 26, the Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union held a gathering to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2026), under the theme “95 Years - One Journey, Millions of Youth Aspirations.”

Attending the event were Phan Van Thang, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap Province, along with representatives of provincial departments and former Youth Union officials from different periods.
Speaking at the gathering, Provincial Youth Union Secretary Le Hoang Quyet affirmed: “Carrying forward the tradition of previous generations, Dong Thap’s young people have continually strived, innovated, and actively contributed to socio-economic development, new-style rural area construction, urban civility, and social welfare, making meaningful contributions to the province’s overall progress.”
Major Youth Union movements, including volunteerism, youth innovation, youth safeguarding the country, and programs supporting young people in their careers and livelihoods, have been implemented widely, creating an environment for learning and dedication. Through these movements, the organization has identified and nurtured outstanding members for Party admission, contributing to building a strong contingent of young officials for the political system.

The event featured an exchange program between former Youth Union officials and outstanding young members titled “Our Youth Union - 95 Years of Proud Continuity.” It provided a space for stories, memories, and reflections on the Union’s journey through the generations.
The program conveyed valuable messages from past Youth Union officials, inspiring today’s young generation with confidence and determination to continue writing new chapters in the proud history of Vietnamese youth in a thriving new era.

Speaking at the gathering, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap Province, Phan Van Thang, called on Youth Unions at all levels to strengthen political, ideological, ethical, and lifestyle education, boldly innovate operational content and methods in alignment with digital transformation, and enhance communication that encourages young people to uphold Party guidelines and State policies.
He emphasized: “The Youth Union must continue building a comprehensively strong organization, expand its reach and unite young people in the new context, especially in the digital space, and strengthen its role in supporting youth career development, linked to digital transformation and the province’s socio-economic development.”

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union presented a list of 1,676 outstanding Youth Union members recommended to the Party committees, contributing to the effective implementation of the campaign “Youth Union Members Strive to Become Members of the Communist Party of Vietnam.”
