Party building and political work were implemented in a synchronized and effective manner. A total of 102 commune-level Military Command Chiefs were appointed to join local Party Committees and their Standing Boards. Authorities also directed the establishment of military Party cells at the commune level, and implemented decisions of the Central Inspection Commission on handling Party disciplinary complaints, as well as inspection and supervision plans issued by the Standing Board of the Provincial Military Party Committee for subordinate Party organizations.

Efforts to search for and repatriate the remains of fallen soldiers yielded 18 sets of remains. Policies for the military and families of servicemen were well implemented, while the reception and settlement of policy dossiers and citizen petitions were handled in accordance with regulations. Logistics, technical, and financial work were consistently ensured to support assigned tasks.

The management and protection of borders, sea areas, and airspace were carried out effectively. Authorities also implemented synchronized and resolute measures to combat drug-related crimes, other criminal activities, and illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing. Close monitoring of opposing armed forces was maintained, along with strict control over border gates and entry-exit activities.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Pham Van Thanh requested agencies and units to focus on key tasks, including strengthening combat readiness, closely monitoring and accurately forecasting the situation, and promptly advising higher authorities to effectively handle emerging situations without being caught off guard. He also stressed the importance of properly training new recruits in accordance with regulations, ensuring safety and training quality, while paying attention to soldiers’ health, entitlements, and ideological developments.

Units were also tasked with reviewing and drawing lessons from the operation of local military organizations under the two-tier local government model.

At the same time, emphasis should be placed on organizing defensive and civil defense drills at the commune level, regional defensive zone exercises, and platoon-level tactical drills for Regiment 320 and Regiment 924.

The Commander also called for enhanced efforts in cybersecurity and internal political security protection, strict implementation of regularity building and discipline management, and the development of comprehensively strong units that are “exemplary and typical.”

Border guard stations and flotillas were urged to strengthen operations to tightly control borders, sea areas, and airspace, as well as entry and exit activities, while resolutely combating IUU fishing and cross-border crimes.
