Đồng Tháp Now Has 44 Communes and Wards Recognized as Safe Zones
(DTO) The Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee has signed 16 decisions recognizing 14 communes and 2 wards in the province as Safe Zone communes during the resistance wars against the French and American forces.

The 14 communes are My Qui, Long Binh, Binh Ninh, My Tho, Ba Sao, Gia Thuan, Lap Vo, Luong Hoa Lac, My An Hung, My Thien, Tan Khanh Trung, Tan Dong, Thap Muoi and Truong Xuan. The two wards are My Tra and Trung An.
These communes and wards are eligible for policies applicable to Safe Zone communes under current regulations. The decisions took effect on August 21, 2026, the date they were signed.
Previously, the Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee had recognized 28 communes and wards in the province as Safe Zone communes during the resistance wars against the French and American forces.
To date, 44 communes and wards across the province have been recognized as Safe Zone communes from the resistance wars against the French and American forces.
