Dong Thap Provincial Military Commander Attains Rank of Major General

(DTO) On the morning of January 17 in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defence held a ceremony to announce and present the President’s decision on personnel appointments.

According to the decision of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Ministry of National Defence has promoted Colonel Pham Van Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee and Commander of the Dong Thap Provincial Military Command, to the rank of Major General.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister of National Defence congratulated Major General Pham Van Thanh on his promotion, affirming that this reflects the recognition of the Party, State, and the Army for his continuous training, dedication, and contributions to building a revolutionary, well-disciplined, elite, and modern Vietnam People’s Army.

In his remarks, Major General Pham Van Thanh expressed his determination to continue improving, training, and upholding his sense of responsibility, working together with the Party Committee of the Provincial Military Command to lead the provincial armed forces in successfully fulfilling all assigned tasks and meeting the requirements of the new context.
