Dong Thap Provincial Party Secretary Directs Review of Martyr Ngo Van Kinh's Dossier

(DTO) On the afternoon of August 3, Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, received Mr. Ngo Hoang Sang (residing in My Hoa 3 Hamlet, Thap Muoi District, Dong Thap Province) regarding his request for the recognition of the status of "revolutionary activist from January 1, 1945, to before the August General Uprising of 1945" for his late father, Martyr Ngo Van Kinh (alias Tu Hong).

Nevertheless, additional relevant information must still be gathered to ensure the legal validity of the dossier.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Ngo Chi Cuong assigned the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission to take the lead and coordinate with relevant agencies and local authorities to expeditiously conduct a comprehensive review of archival records, historical documents, and other relevant materials concerning Martyr Ngo Van Kinh's revolutionary activities. The review should pay particular attention to historical publications issued before 2022, including the History of the Thap Muoi District Party Organization, the History of Cao Lanh District, and the histories of Party organizations in the communes where Tu Hong had been active, in order to clarify related information and details.

The commission was directed to compile a comprehensive report for submission to the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee for consideration and direction, while promptly informing the citizen of the results to ensure objectivity, completeness, and compliance with regulations. Based on the supplemented and completed dossier, if all legal requirements are met, authorities will promptly consider recognizing Martyr Ngo Van Kinh as a pre-August Revolution activist in accordance with current regulations, contributing to the effective implementation of the nation's gratitude policies for individuals who rendered meritorious services.
