Dong Thap: Updates on Personnel Work

(DTO) On the afternoon of January 7, the Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee held a Conference of the Provincial Party Committee to provide updates on personnel work.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee and Head of the provincial National Assembly delegation; Ms. Nguyen Hai Tram, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Supreme People’s Court and former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Tri Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial People’s Committee, former Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; and Mr. Phan Van Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap Province.

The conference announced an official dispatch from the Office of the Party Central Committee, conveying the opinions of the Politburo and the Secretariat regarding the mobilization and appointment of personnel.

Accordingly, Ms. Nguyen Hai Tram, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, ceased to be a member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee and the Standing Board, and stepped down from the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term, along with related positions under the organizational structure. He was assigned to join the Party Executive Committee and the Standing Board, and to assume the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Supreme People’s Court for the 2025–2030 term.

Addressing the conference, Ms. Nguyen Hai Tram expressed her profound and sincere gratitude to all her former colleagues and associates, as well as the Party Secretaries she had the opportunity to work with and assist. She also extended her heartfelt affection to the people of Dong Thap province.

Ms. Nguyen Hai Tram shared that, following the organization's mobilization and assignment, she began working in Dong Thap in 2024, completing exactly 14 months of service in this Southern land. Her time in Dong Thap left her with many profound reflections, emotions, and realizations. These were not only valuable experiences and a source of professional expertise but also created a clear shift in her mindset and perspective.

Upon taking up her local duties, she had to overcome initial challenges, self-adjusting, adapting, and gradually integrating into the system. From there, a sense of belonging developed; she grew to love this land even more and wished to contribute more deeply to the locality.

Ms. Nguyen Hai Tram shared: “Only by living and working directly within the grassroots political system, witnessing and sharing the most challenging and demanding moments with my colleagues, did I truly come to understand the vivid reality of local socio-political life. Through this, I have become even more convinced that the Central Party’s policy on cadre rotation is absolutely correct. I also feel fortunate to have worked in Dong Thap and to have matured further in my thinking and perception.

Before leaving Dong Thap province, Ms. Nguyen Hai Tram affirmed that although her tenure was not long, it left her with deeply cherished memories. Regardless of where or in what position she may serve in the future, Dong Thap will always hold a very special place in her thoughts and heart.
