Dong Thap youth spearhead support for nationwide election day

(DTO) Sharing the vibrant atmosphere of the nationwide festival of democracy, from early morning on March 15, a large number of “blue-shirt voters” across Dong Thap province actively exercised their civic rights and responsibilities in the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

From the early hours, many Youth Union members and young voters were present at polling stations with a strong sense of responsibility, carefully following the prescribed procedures to select capable representatives who reflect the aspirations and will of the people.

In addition to casting their ballots, volunteer youth forces actively assisted at polling sites by guiding voters through the voting process, supporting the elderly and people with disabilities, and maintaining order, contributing to a smooth, safe, and compliant election process.

In 102 communes and wards across the province, volunteer youth teams proactively coordinated with local authorities to implement practical support activities.

Youth union members guided voters on how to look up candidate information, choose trusted representatives, and follow the prescribed voting process. They also assisted the elderly and people with disabilities in moving into polling areas conveniently and quickly.

Furthermore, volunteer forces participated in maintaining order and directing the flow of voters, ensuring that the election took place safely, democratically, lawfully, and on schedule.

The active participation of volunteer youth teams demonstrates the pioneer spirit and responsibility of Dong Thap’s young generation, contributing to the success of the nationwide election day.
