Ms. Dang Thi Thu Uyen Elected Chairwoman of Dong Thap Provincial Red Cross Society for 2022 - 2027 Term
(DTO) On June 17, the Dong Thap Provincial Red Cross Society convened a meeting of its provisional Executive Committee to consolidate personnel work and hold a by-election for the position of Chairwoman for the 2022 - 2027 term.
At the meeting, delegates voted to fill the vacancy of Chairwoman of the Provincial Red Cross Society, electing Ms. Dang Thi Thu Uyen, Vice Chairwoman in charge of the Society's operations.
As a result, 100% of the delegates unanimously elected Ms. Dang Thi Thu Uyen as Chairwoman of the Dong Thap Provincial Red Cross Society for the 2022 - 2027 term.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Vo Chi Huu, Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee, congratulated Ms. Dang Thi Thu Uyen on earning the confidence to take on the leadership role.
He requested that, in her capacity as Chairwoman, she should promptly focus on performing Party building work well, working with the collective party cell leadership to guide the Society's Party Cell to successfully fulfill all assigned tasks.
Besides, Mr. Vo Chi Huu also required the Provincial Red Cross Society to focus on directing and organizing commune-level Red Cross congresses, while making thorough preparations for the provincial-level event in accordance with the prescribed schedule and regulations.

He expressed his expectation that the new Chairwoman would continue to promote her capabilities and working experience and join the Executive Committee to foster solidarity and innovate operational content and methods. She was also urged to proactively provide effective recommendations to the provincial VFF Committee, creating strong momentum for local humanitarian movements and better meeting the needs and aspirations of the public.

Delivering her inauguration speech, Ms. Dang Thi Thu Uyen expressed her deep appreciation for the care and trust of the Standing Committee and the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, as well as the confidence placed in her by the Executive Committee of the Provincial Red Cross Society.
She affirmed that this is both an honor and a great responsibility. In her position as Chairwoman, she pledged to continue to make efforts to learn, cultivate herself, and uphold a strong sense of responsibility while working with the Society's collective leadership to strengthen unity, effectively implement its humanitarian mission, provide better care for vulnerable groups and contribute to local social welfare.
