Permanent Deputy Secretary Phan Van Thang Presents 70-Year Party Badge to Mr. Doan Hieu Thao
(DTT) On the morning of August 19, the Vinh Kim Commune Party Committee held a ceremony to present Party Badges to mark the September 2, 2026 conferment round.
Mr. Phan Van Thang, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, attended the ceremony and presented the 70-year Party Badge to Doan Hieu Thao, a Party member of the Ninh Thuan Hamlet Party Cell.
The ceremony was also attended by Nguyen Kien Cuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Head of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission.

At the ceremony, the Standing Board of the Vinh Kim Commune Party Committee announced Decision No. 999-QD/TU dated August 14, 2026, of the Standing Board of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee on awarding Party Badges. Accordingly, Mr. Doan Hieu Thao (Doan Hung Manh), born in 1933, joined the Party on September 3, 1958, and became an official Party member on March 3, 1959, to be awarded the 70-year Party Badge.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Van Tan, Secretary of the Vinh Kim Commune Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People's Council, affirmed that the presentation of the 70-year Party Badge was an honor for Mr. Doan Hieu Thao and his family, while demonstrating the respect and gratitude of today's generations toward Party members who have devoted their entire lives to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
Mr. Doan Hieu Thao was trained and matured through the realities of revolutionary struggle. During his career, he fought on various battlefields, including more than 20 years of participation in the resistance wars against French colonialism and US imperialism. He was also involved in Party building and local governance, and successfully fulfilled his assigned tasks. His contributions have been recognized by the Party and State with numerous orders, medals and other forms of commendation.
To date, Mr. Doan Hieu Thao has received the 40-year, 50-year, 55-year, 60-year and 65-year Party Badges, and now the 70-year Party Badge.

While expressing hope that today's generations will carry forward the traditions of their predecessors, strive for innovation and make contributions to local development, Mr. Huynh Van Tan wished Mr. Doan Hieu Thao good health and longevity, hoping that he would continue to serve as an example for his children, grandchildren and younger generations to learn from and follow.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Doan Hieu Thao expressed his joy and honor at receiving the 70-year Party Badge. He affirmed his absolute confidence in the Party's guidelines and policies and in the thought, morality and lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh. He also expressed his hope that generations of Party members would continue to uphold their faith and steadfastness and contribute to building an increasingly developed country.
