A view of the conference.

Attending the conference were Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee; and Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen, member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee.

At the conference, representatives of Delegation No. 23 announced the Politburo’s and Secretariat’s decisions regarding the inspection and supervision contents for the two provincial Standing Committees.

Secretary Ngo Chi Cuong speaks at the conference.

Accordingly, the inspection focuses on the leadership and direction in studying, disseminating, and implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress; the organization of elections for the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; and the operation of the two-tier local government model.

Mr. Tran Luu Quang, Politburo member, Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee, and Head of Inspection and Supervision Delegation No. 23, delivers the concluding remarks.

The delegation will also inspect and supervise the leadership in developing plans and solutions to achieve economic growth targets for 2026, as well as the implementation of Politburo Resolution No. 57 of the 13th tenure on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation.

The inspection and supervision activities will take place in two phases: Phase 1 to be completed in March, and Phase 2 in September 2026.

Following the announcement of the decisions, representatives of the Standing Committees of the Dong Thap and Vinh Long Provincial Party Committees discussed and clarified requirements regarding content, methodology, and matters related to the implementation process. Leaders of both localities affirmed that this is an opportunity to comprehensively assess the implementation of the Party’s guidelines and resolutions; openly identify limitations and shortcomings; and propose effective remedial measures. The Standing Committees of Dong Thap and Vinh Long committed to directing all party committees, agencies, and relevant units to closely coordinate and strictly comply with the requirements set by the inspection delegation.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Tran Luu Quang emphasized the significance of this inspection and supervision process, and requested the Standing Committees of Dong Thap and Vinh Long to promptly prepare self-review reports following the suggested outline, ensuring alignment with each group of contents in the plan.

The reports must provide objective and substantive assessments, clearly stating strengths, shortcomings, and their causes; and designate focal points to coordinate with the delegation during the working process to ensure progress and required outcomes.

The Head of Delegation No. 23 noted that if new issues arise during implementation, the provincial Standing Committees should proactively communicate to agree on appropriate solutions.

Coordination must remain flexible and close, aiming to develop a comprehensive inspection conclusion that draws valuable lessons and contributes to improving the leadership and direction of the Standing Committees of the Dong Thap and Vinh Long Provincial Party Committees in the time ahead.
