During his lifetime, Nguyen Sinh Sac was a patriotic Confucian scholar, an incorruptible mandarin, and a devoted teacher. His scholarship, moral integrity, especially his progressive, patriotic spirit, deep respect and compassion for the people, left a profound influence and became a shining example for his son Nguyen Sinh Cung. This influence played an important role in shaping the character and aspirations of Nguyen Tat Thanh at a young age, as well as the patriotism, revolutionary ideals, and style of Nguyen Ai Quoc, later known as President Ho Chi Minh, a National Liberation Hero and World Cultural Figure.

In his lifelong journey devoted to the people and the nation, he settled and formed deep ties with the land of Hoa An (now Cao Lanh Ward, Dong Thap Province), a region renowned for its affection and rich revolutionary tradition. Here, he lived simple yet profoundly meaningful years: healing the sick, imparting moral teachings, and “sowing the seeds” of patriotism for generations.

What is truly admirable and valuable is that for nearly a century, despite dangers, bombs and enemy surveillance, the local people steadfastly protected and preserved his tomb with utmost reverence and unwavering loyalty. Thanks to that devotion, the site stands as a place of great historical and cultural value to the nation, recognized as a Special National Relic Site.
